FOUNDER

Tatiana Ford is a certified medical interpreter and a member of both the National Board of Certification for Medical Interpreters (NBCMI) and the International Medical Interpreters Association (IMIA).

She studied Japanese and English at Sakhalin State University (formerly the Teachers Training Institute) in Russia. Later, she earned a first-class Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and Counseling from Middlesex University in London, UK. Her final thesis was a comparative study on the general well-being of wives in bilingual versus monolingual marriages.

In Russia, Tatiana worked as an interpreter and HR manager for a Japanese retail company and served as an interpreter for a Russian-Japanese-American oil and gas joint venture.

In 2001, she began working as a crewing manager and interpreter for the aforementioned oil and gas company’s office in Dubai, UAE. After relocating to the United States, she experienced a significant gap in her interpreting career until it took an unexpected turn toward healthcare, which she found to be the most rewarding field for her as an interpreter.

Tatiana pursued the necessary additional training for medical interpreters at MiTiO, obtained national certification from NBCMI, and joined a talented team of Russian medical interpreters at AMN Healthcare.
